Katahdin Moose Feathers

From an old Indian Legend, Pamola is the mythological half-moose, half-eagle guardian of Maine’s Mount Katahdin. Pamola Peak at the top of Katahdin is named for this legendary moose-eagle.

Considering this creature of legend, its breeding, nesting, and the weight of moose…Moose feathers would be stouter than typical and upon becoming dislodged would be convoluted into fantastic shapes. Named for three nesting sites in and around Baxter State Park, these delightful pins give physical form to this ancient Native American legend.
