Free Shipping is offered on every order to mailing addresses within the United States. Orders are processed within 1 business day (example: order placed on Monday would ship on Tuesday. If ordered on Friday the package would ship on Monday).

Purchases that total less than $500 - Free US Postal Service Priority Mail (allow 5 Business Days). Upgrade to UPS Overnight for $20

Purchases that total more than $500 - Free Overnight delivery by UPS.

Signature Required on Delivery for any order over $500, we require an adult signature upon delivery. This requirement is for your protection.

Shipping to Alternate Addresses
If you will not be home to sign for your package, Cross Jewelers can arrange to ship your order to your place of work, or another more convenient destination. As a security precaution, to protect our customers against fraud, when you order merchandise to be delivered to a destination other than your billing address, we will confirm that your credit card or financing company has this alternate shipping address on file. To help expedite your order, simply call your issuing bank and provide them with your alternate shipping address.

Maine State Sales Tax (5%) will be added to orders delivered within the state of Maine.

Our Return Process
Once we receive your returned item and it is accepted, your refund or new item will be processed in just a few days. Upon receiving your return, the item will be reviewed by our Quality Assurance department. Please note that items showing signs of wear or those that have been engraved, altered, resized, or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return. Returns that are improperly packaged will be refused receipt.

How to Prepare a Return
To return an item to Cross Jewelers, follow our two step process:

Fill Out The Return Form
Enclosed with your original receipts is a Green exchange/return merchandise form. Please fill out the information including a phone number in case we need to contact you.

Package Your Return
Use a sturdy box. Do not use a pouch or flat cardboard mailer. Jewelry can be crushed in these. Include all original packaging, as well as the return form. For security reasons, do not write Cross Jewelers anywhere on the outside of the package. Instead use William Cross Inc.

On your invoice, if the price of the item you're returning is listed as:
Less than $500: You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination.

More than $500: Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail, insured for the total value of the contents, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached Cross Jewelers. (FedEx® and UPS® will not insure merchandise over $500.)

We recommend a professional cleaning of your jewelry twice a year.

Remounting
We remount family heirloom diamonds into many of our exclusive Cross designs. On your next visit bring in your diamond(s) and we will do a thorough review to see if the particular ring style you have chosen can accommodate your diamond. If you are unable to reach our store we are happy to work with you by phone and through the mail.

In addition, Cross can match two new diamonds of similar quality to your diamond in order to create a spectacular three stone ring.

Jewelry repairs
We offer complete jewelry repair services for gold and platinum jewelry including:
- Ring sizing
- Polishing of worn gems
- Re-cutting of diamonds to maximize brilliance
- Restoration and/or reproduction of heirloom jewelry
- Adjustable ring bands to fit over arthritic knuckles
- Pearl and bead re-stringing (pearls should be re-strung every few years, more often if worn daily)

Jewelry Appraisals
Cross offers a full range of appraisal services including insurance, estate, and damage loss reports. Simply bring the article you wish to have appraised on your next visit. Due to seasonal demand, appraisals are unavailable November through February. You may contact us by phone at 1800 433-2988 for further details.

In addition to Appraisals we offer what we call a Jewelry Review at no charge. We often find that individuals are uncertain as to what they may have or just inherited. Bring in your collection of jewelry and we will sort through to identify what may warrant more attention. Reviews are best done outside of the December holiday season.

Engraving
Our engravers can add that personal touch to your fine jewelry purchase. We can engrave in script or block lettering and can do monograms, significant dates, family crests, and even lines from favorite poems. If you'd like your wedding rings personalized we can engrave on the inside as well. We provide both hand and machine engraving. Cross engraves only items that we sell.

We Buy Jewelry
When the time comes to sell your diamonds, gemstones, gold, silver, or platinum jewelry, a trusted jeweler is your best advisor. In addition to broken chains and worn-out rings we are always interested in unique and fine jewelry, especially period pieces c. 1960 and before. We offer immediate cash payment.
